ClearAway is not a poison, it works by reducing the nutrients to a normal level. This process usually takes at least a month to significantly improve the water quality. A consistent, patient, and timely application program will achieve success by reducing the nutrient supply for a prolonged period.

When the water quality is improved the vicious cycle of excessive growth, death, decomposition, and re-release of nutrients is interrupted. This leads to a gradual return of the pond over a few years to the pristine condition that ponds exhibit when man does not introduce excessive nutrients. As this is being accomplished, if the excessive re-introduction of nutrients from other sources can be prevented, the amount of future treatment required to maintain the pond in good condition will be significantly reduced.

Application: ClearAway is supplied in easily dispensed ½ pound water soluble packets. Simply determine the number of packets required from the Application Guideline sheet (remember that the Application Guidelines are in pounds so multiply pounds by 2 to determine the number of packets to use), then disperse them reasonably evenly throughout the pond by throwing them around the edge of the pond.
